On Our Way to El Salvador

As I put together the last paperwork for the journey ahead, I cannot help but to be excited as I anticipate to see our brothers and sisters at Immanuel Baptist Church (IBE) in San Salvador. Would I remember the names of those I had met three years ago? Maybe some, but not all, for sure. That is secondary, because I do remember the Love that binds us together.

So we hit the road in a few hours to go to Montreal, so that we can catch our flight to San Salvador, tomorrow a.m.

In all this preparation and exhaustion, the strong wind blowing things around outside my window, and the sun shining upon the wet grass and the cold winter seems to be behind us. I sense the Spirit is traveling with us and the Son is shining on us, in us and through us. More than that, on this International Woman’s Day, I also thinking of the women who have trail blazed the way for us. They are many to mention but I am thinking of them all. I also want to thank my wonderful husband, Gary Petro, who has been and continues to be the wind beneath my wings… I am able to do all this because of God’s Grace and Gary’s support.

So friends, stay connected to the One who has given us all Goodness and remember to share the blessings that you have with ALL around you.

Give YOUR Best to others.

I remain humbly because of Grace,

Rev. Takouhi

    • Thank You Valerie…
We had an Awesome and Deep Experience of God’s Love in us and all around us.
It was a wonderful trip and I cannot wait to write all about it, once I can get a moment to do it.
Unfortunate tragedy has hit Portland community and we are grieving the accidental death of two pillars of our community.
Love you and send you blessings of Peace.
