Every day is a piece of the larger puzzle that we create.

Every moment is the revelation of the bigger picture.

The pieces have dark and light images, but ALL make up One picture.

With its beauty and bleak moments, we do know that unimaginable possibilities are found in every moment for all of us to grow deep and expand our horizons.

The purpose of this blog is to share my journey. The blogs are divided into two sections. One will be snippets of my personal life (Personal Pieces) and the other will be my ministry life (Ministry Pieces); however they both are one whole event called Takouhi.

You are welcome to accompany me on this journey; and as you make the time to read, may you find nuggets of comfort, challenge and courage to help you continue your own journey.

Every moment is a gift, may we share that gift with everyone on this journey of Everlasting Love. Amen.

God of Creation, Out of darkness you brought Light, Out of nothingness you brought Life. From mud you created humankind, Yet, you gifted Your Image to all, And instilled Your Breath in everyone. Many of us at one time or another consider writing a book and becoming a renowned author of a best seller. But less than 2% actually get across the starting line and the vast majority of those who do don't get published. On the other hand, James A. Michener, the author of over 40 books including epic best -selling tales of Hawaii, Tales of the South Pacific, The Source and Centennial, was in his forties when he started to write. There is hope and inspiration for us budding writers. He reminds us that "Character consists of what you do on the third and fourth tries."

So we are in rare company as we celebrate with Takouhi the publishing of her first book, "The True Gift Lives on.. Christmas Poetry, Prayers and Blessings". This is a special book, as it is the result of recording revelations borne of tradition; the incremental understanding and blessings that accumulate with each Christmas season. While the story is the same each year, the impact grows as we continue to explore the riches of God's gift to us. That is what we see in Takouhi's writing as it progresses through the book and through her Christmas experiences over the years. It is a blessing she has passed on to us.
